Autumnal Equinox Concert
As summer fades and cooler evenings arrive, the Huntsville Botanical Garden welcomes fall with its Autumnal Equinox Concert on September 20. Southern Strings takes the stage in the Garden's open-air Amphitheatre, performing a blend of classical and contemporary string music that creates the perfect soundtrack for the changing season. This family-friendly evening offers a peaceful way to mark autumn's arrival, whether you're making it a special date night, gathering friends, or introducing children to live outdoor music in a relaxed setting. The concert runs from 6:00 to 8:00 pm with a brief intermission, and ticket scanning begins at 5:30 pm. Advance tickets are available at $20 for Garden members and $35 for non-members, with prices increasing by $5 each at the gate. Seating is provided on the Amphitheatre's concrete steps, so bring cushions or blankets for comfort. If you prefer a lawn chair, plan to set up in the back row or on the surrounding grass to keep sightlines clear for everyone. The event takes place rain or shine, moving indoors to the Isenberg Grand Hall if weather doesn't cooperate. Arrive early to browse seasonal offerings from Fern & Feast On-the-Go or visit the Garden Bar for beer, wine, cocktails, and their featured fall-inspired signature drink. This concert is part of FestiFall, the Garden's celebration throughout September and October, making it an ideal way to kick off the season with your family.
