Fall Plant Sale · Members Sale
The Huntsville Botanical Garden's Fall Plant Sale opens its doors to members on Friday, September 25, offering first pick of an impressive selection of plants expertly chosen for North Alabama growing conditions. This isn't your typical garden center run — the sale features both Garden Signature plants (propagated directly from the Garden's own collections) and Garden Endorsed selections sourced from trusted growers. Families can browse trees, shrubs, perennials, native plants, pollinator-friendly varieties, herbs, fruits, and houseplants, including unique cultivars you won't find elsewhere. It's a wonderful opportunity to involve kids in choosing plants for your yard while teaching them about local gardening. The members-only sale runs from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the INTUITIVE Plant Science Complex, the Garden's back-of-house growing facilities (parking is available in the Dogwood Lot). No garden admission is required to shop, and the event happens rain or shine. The Garden accepts credit and debit cards only, so leave the cash at home. Knowledgeable plant professionals and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and help you select plants suited to your landscape and experience level. Come prepared for a working plant sale: bring your own wagon or cart if possible (the Garden has a limited number available first-come, first-served), wear sturdy shoes for gravel paths and uneven terrain, and plan to arrive early for the best selection since plants are sold while supplies last. Volunteers will help you load your vehicle at a designated loading zone. The public sale opens the following day, so membership gets you exclusive early access to the season's best offerings.
