Fall Plant Sale · Public Sale
The Huntsville Botanical Garden's Fall Plant Sale opens its greenhouses to families looking to add some green to their yards and homes. This seasonal fundraiser brings together an impressive selection of trees, shrubs, perennials, native plants, herbs, fruits, and houseplants—many propagated directly from the Garden's own collections. While parents browse the inventory, kids can spot interesting varieties and help choose new additions for the family garden. The knowledgeable staff and volunteers are ready to answer questions about what thrives in North Alabama soil, making this a learning experience for curious young gardeners alongside their plant-shopping parents. The public sale takes place Saturday, September 26 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Garden's INTUITIVE Plant Science Complex on Bob Wallace Avenue. No admission fee is required—just follow the event signage to the designated parking area. The sale happens rain or shine on mixed terrain including gravel paths, so sturdy shoes are recommended for everyone. The venue accepts credit and debit cards only, and all plants are sold first-come, first-served while supplies last. Families should bring their own wagons or carts if possible, as the Garden's supply is limited during busy morning hours. After checking out, you can either wheel your selections back to your car or use the convenient loading zone where volunteers will help load your vehicle. If questions arise after you get home and start planting, the Garden's team remains available by email at plantinfo@hsvbg.org. Your purchases support the Garden's ongoing conservation work and community programming.
