Theatre of Fashion Kids and Youth Sewing Classes
Young fashionistas will find their creative spark at Theatre of Fashion, where sewing isn't just about threading needles — it's about bringing original designs to life. This four-week course teaches kids and teens ages 9-17 the fundamentals of fashion design, from sketching their ideas to constructing actual garments they'll proudly wear. Under the guidance of founder and designer Anya Sievers, students explore design elements, learn practical sewing techniques, and even practice fashion presentation skills that culminate in an authentic runway show featuring their own creations. Classes meet at Anyaberry's Studio 2001 at Lowe Mill, with sessions starting April 25th at 11:00 AM. Each of the four classes runs for two hours, giving students plenty of time to work on their projects without feeling rushed. The course costs $155, plus a one-time $15 registration fee for new students. This is a wonderful investment for kids who've shown interest in fashion, design, or hands-on creative work. Sievers brings both professional experience and genuine enthusiasm to her teaching, having built her own fashion business, Anyaberry. Whether your child is a complete beginner or already experiments with DIY projects at home, they'll gain real skills while exploring their personal style. Be sure to mark your calendar for the final runway presentation — watching young designers model their own handmade garments is a proud moment you won't want to miss.
