Theatre of Fashion Kids and Youth Sewing Classes
At The Theatre of Fashion, kids and teens don't just learn to sew — they become complete fashion designers. Under the guidance of founder Anya Sivers, students ages 9-17 explore fashion illustration, the principles of design, sewing techniques, and even runway presentation skills. The program culminates in an authentic fashion show where young designers model their own creations on the runway, giving them a genuine taste of the fashion world and a confidence boost that extends far beyond the studio. Classes meet at Anyaberry Studio 2001 inside Lowe Mill, with sessions starting April 18th at 11:00 AM. The program costs $155 for four two-hour classes, plus a one-time $15 registration fee. This works out to less than $20 per hour of instruction, making it an accessible way for aspiring designers to develop real skills in a supportive environment. Whether your child sketches fashion designs in every notebook margin or has never touched a sewing machine, this program meets students where they are. The structured curriculum builds from foundational skills to finished garments, and the final runway show gives families a memorable celebration of their young designer's progress. Parents should note that students will need basic sewing supplies, which the instructor can advise on during the first class.
